Kung Fu Cohort: After School Sessions!

A safe opportunity for kids who are missing the socio-emotional component of on-site schooling

Kung Fu Cohort: After School Session

(Ages 7-12)

After School Session starts September 21st!

Mon/Wed/Fri., 2-4PM for two weeks...

Centerline is offering an opportunity for kids who are missing the socio-emotional component of on site schooling to gather in the safety of a small cohort of 5-8 children.

We will be focusing on play, open conversations, and a safe space to socialize.

Our goal is to provide a change of scenery, socialization, physical activity, and the ability to interact with non-parent adults (not to mention the opportunity for caregivers to run errands, work peacefully from home, or even take some time for self care).

We will be adhering to strict safety protocols, and will have the children outdoors to the greatest extent possible. Each child will need to have a mask for instances in which we are indoors.

A typical day at the Kids Kung Fu After School Session will include the following components:

Kung Fu lesson (no experience necessary!),
time to complete school work,
short fitness activity,
bonus activity hour (Kung Fu Quest, Kung Fu Weapons, Kung Fu films, etc.)!

Q: Can my child attend?

A: The after school sessions are open to ALL kids, ages 7-12.  This includes non-members, and of course our current, former and future Kids Kung Fu students.

Q: What's the cost?

A:  Nonmember price: $185

Centerline members pay $150!

*Scholarships available!

Q: How will this session ensure proper social distancing?

A: There will never be more than eight students in a room at one time, along with one counselor and one student helper. We will use floor markings to indicate 6' distance, so students can train safely.

Q:  What COVID-19 protocols are Centerline following to ensure the health and safety of staff and students?

A: We take preventing the spread of COVID-19 very seriously at Centerline. We are up-to-date and following all of the latest Health & Safety protocols issued by NYS Department of Health and the CDC.

Q: Who will be cleaning and sanitizing the studio?

A: Counselors and student helpers will diligently sanitize frequently-used surfaces, such as bathroom doorknobs, sinks, and the main entrance to Centerline. All participants at the session will contribute to cleanliness by diligently washing their hands, and sanitizing any equipment after use.

We take COVID-19 very seriously at Centerline. It is up to us to make sure everyone in our establishment stays safe. Because of this, we need to monitor session enrollment and limit the session to 16 students.
