Why study Martial Arts at Centerline?
(For those who care - this wasn't written by AI. It's all from the heart and mind of Centerline's head instructor)

Reframing How to "Get In Shape"
Learn New Skills while you Exercise
Training at Centerline means weekly workouts with an inspiring, supportive class.
Because you are engaged in the learning, you'll forget that it's also incredible exercise.
While practicing drills & techniques, you'll be improving your fitness level. Specifically, our kicking lessons bolster flexibility and balance. The boxing improves speed, endurance and power. Trapping and Grappling drills will develop flow & coordination.
Realistic & Safe Training

The original Mixed Martial Art for Self-Defense & Self Expression
The foundation of our school is Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, a unique martial art that harmonizes the strengths of traditional Kung Fu with the fundamentals of modern kickboxing. Students learn to throw real punches and kicks on our pads and heavy bags. Our partner training teaches timing and distance, which are essential for skills like blocking, dodging, throwing and falling safely. Students are gradually introduced to contact (light sparring - which is both safe and fun). We live in the balance between safety and realism. Centerline offers practical training without the blood and bruises.

Side Effects May Include: Mental Wellbeing

Self Improvement at Any Age
Whether you are looking for a way to get exercise or to bolster your sense of wellbeing with the mindfulness, inspiration and community offered by martial arts, you're in the right place. Martial Arts training can put you in touch with your authentic self. It offers an avenue to uncover hidden weaknesses and transform them into your strengths. It offers an endless array of personal challenges that meet you where you are and take you where you want to be. A sense of progress and personal achievement is always waiting just on the other side of class.
What Sets Centerline Apart

Purpose & People
These two things decline for many people as we settle into adult life, and they are the things you'll get more of with martial arts training
Purpose - Martial Arts training provides goals. Whether it's earning your next rank or doing better the next time you spar. Regular, attainable goals inspire our students in their daily lives and boost your mood.

People - We're an eclectic martial arts school with students from all walks of life. While MMA gyms can offer good training and intensity, they often cater to younger athletes who want to compete, making injuries are more prevalent. At Centerline, you'll find training partners of all ages and genders who want to learn & feel challenged, but without breaking each other.

The Secret To A Young Brain

Never Stop Learning
A sense of achievement is sometimes hard to come by in adulthood.
And sadly, learning - which is crucial to keeping our brains young - can grind to a halt. At Centerline, you'll learn a new mini-lesson every two weeks. Plus, we make it simple to train for at home with step-by-step Practice Videos, including terminology. All this adds up to feeling inspired and supported on the path to your next rank.
Find Your Center

Not just a martial arts school - we're a community
At Centerline, you'll quickly become a part of our awesome community.
The advanced students patiently help beginners in classes - being able to relate to the difficulties of being a newbie as they once were. And there's more to the Centerline Family than the training... whether it's hanging out for poker night, our summer BBQ or our holiday party, you'll love it here.
